Daylight savings time is bad for health?

Daylight savings time was first enacted during World War I to decrease energy use. The thought being the longer it was daylight the less energy would be used. However, there’s some theories that abound to say there’s actually health complications from daylight savings time. (1) an increase in heart attacks; could it be from loss of that hour of sleep, or could it be with daylight lasting longer people are active a little longer? (2) actually studies have shown auto accidents decrease during dayling savings time; perhaps because it’s daylight longer? As a general rule as people age they don’t like to drive at night, perhaps that could explain it. Wouldn’t that mean more cars on the road during daylight savings time? These are just a few of the interesting issues I wanted to share as we switched from daylight savings time. In the Spring we’ll all have to take it easy and remember to slow down when driving as they’ll certainly be more children on the streets and remember, watch that child!
