You should also know Florida law holds a referring attorney responsible for any negligence by the attorney to whom they refer a case.

Civil Trial Board Certified by the Florida Bar Criminal Trial Board Certified by the Florida BarFor this reason among others, it is important you refer your client to a Board Certified civil or criminal trial lawyer as they are the only lawyers who can call themselves experts or specialists.  A Board Certified lawyer’s specialized knowledge and training should give both you and your client peace of mind. Look for this symbol when choosing a lawyer to refer your client. We will maintain your trust and will of course refer the client back to you when their needs call on your specialty.
